It is formed at great depth in the earth’s crust at very high temperatures, about 2000 degree Celsius. It is recognized as the hardest mineral in nature and is used for cutting in different industries. Only Diamond can be used to cut other Diamonds.

Twenty tons of rock have to be worked for each gram of Diamonds. The raw stone is found in nature in different colors. The transparent stone is most in demand.
Only one fifth of the diamonds being mined actually go to the jewelry industry.

In the bible the Diamond appears as one of the Breastplate Stones of the High Priest and is identified with Zevulun tribe.

The Diamond symbolizes happiness, love and purity. It strengthens loyalty and protects relationships, encourages creativity, originality, imagination, openness and attentiveness. Some claim that it enhances the power of other stones.

Diamond is believed to have healing powers regarding sight and fertility problems and helps in balancing metabolism.

The Diamond suits mainly Aries and Taurus.
