A stone desired for thousand of years and appearing in a wide range of colors - red, green, brown, pink, orange, black and more. Garnet Almandine - deep violet-red is the most common stone.

The meaning of the name in Latin is “pomegranate” probably due to one of the colors identified with the stone or due to the form of crystallization, which is round. Special inclusions provide the stone with a brilliant luster. Ancient nations attributed healing and protective powers to the stone.
In the bible it was called “Nophek”, one of the Breastplate Stones of High Priest and it is identified with the tribe of Judah.

The Garnet is believed to enhance sexual energy and to help in the treatment of hormonal and menopausal problems. It strengthens the body when recovering from illness and is good for treating blood pressure, arthritis and back pain. It improves self image, neutralizes fears and shyness and enhances the relation between the person receiving the stone and the one giving it.

Garnet is believed to attract success and prosperity, stimulate optimism and bring good luck.

The Garnet suits mainly Leos, Virgos Capricorns and Scorpios.
